LASER SPAY SLIDE SHOW
&
LASER DECLAW SLIDE SHOW
In order to demonstrate the advantages of laser surgical techniques I have put together a brief slide show of a feline spay. The important things to note are that the laser results in very little blood loss by vaporizing tissue and effectively cauterizing blood vessels, lymph vessels and sealing nerve endings.
The procedure begins with a skin incision, and then shows going through the subcutaneous layer and then the muscle layer to enter the abdomen. The ovarian tissue is exteriorized and then cauterized before being ligated. Notice how clear the surgical field is of blood throughout the procedure. Although the laser is handle is sterile, the tip never touches the tissue as it vaporizes the affected area.
The slide show runs by itself, however if you have problems use the next and previous buttons at the top of each page to navigate the show. The pictures are graphic and depict real procedures.
The laser declaw procedure demonstrates the lack of blood loss during the procedure and the post operative images show a clean normal foot without the use of tourniquets and bandages. Surgical glue is used to bring the open tissues together.
